SALT & WORKING

AMOXICILLIN :

• A broad spectrum bactericidal beta lactam antibiotic

• Time tested & effective antibiotic against gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria

CLAVULANIC ACID:

• Protects Amoxicillin from degeneration by beta lactamase enzyme

• Extends the antibiotic spectrum of Amoxicillin

DOSAGE

• Infants < 3 months : Oral:30mg/kg/day divided every 12 hours

• Children: 3 months and <40kg: Oral: 20-90mg/kg/day divided

• every 8-12 hours.

• Children >40 kg and Adults: Oral: 250-500 mg every 8 hours
